At EyeSeeTea, we are proud to support organisations that make a real difference in the world. One of our most enduring and impactful collaborations is with Samaritan’s Purse, an international humanitarian organisation committed to delivering aid and support to those in need across the globe. Over the years, we have partnered on several digital solutions tailored to enhance their operations—spanning medical programmes, emergency interventions, and global logistics.

Data Management App: A web-based project monitoring solution
Samaritan’s Purse operates in more than 31 countries, implementing more than 1000 projects across 14 sectors. We have developed an open-source DHIS2-based web platform for managing multidisciplinary projects, the Data Management App.
This application can monitor the entire project lifecycle (project creation, data collection and approval, data analysis, reporting, etc.) and can operate on low-bandwidth and poor internet connectivity. You can read more on our blog post.

“The Data Management app has provided Samaritan’s Purse International Projects a consistent, standard, and secure framework for creating, maintaining, and reporting on field projects. The tool gives us a transparent view of our programming and allows us to better serve our beneficiaries.”
Derek Blalock, Samaritan's Purse Program Manager for International Projects
Supporting Surgical Care: Cleft Lip & Palate Programme
Cleft lip and palate can be readily addressed in many nations, but the requisite surgeries are frequently unavailable in developing countries with inadequate healthcare systems.Children born with these medical conditions often face a lifetime of social stigmatisation. That’s why Samaritan’s Purse deploys experienced medical teams to under-resourced regions to perform a high volume of cleft lip surgeries.
EyeSeeTea develops tools to enhance the efficiency of this programme. Recently, we have added new features and functionalities to the applications developed for this programme. We have also developed a new tool for facial reconstruction referral in specific cases, which includes health information pre and post operation.

Emergency Field Hospital: A Lifeline in Crisis Zones
In 2023, Samaritan’s Purse required an application specialising in emergency field hospitals, with very specific requirements due to its deployment in earthquake-stricken areas or warzones. The app needed to track information within DHIS2 and translate the entire workflow of a monitoring and evaluation project into the app, including data registration, analysis, and report generation for headquarters.
The application is designed for deployment on a laptop, independent of an internet connection, and facilitates the collection of data and the provision of visualisations, thereby assisting in the comprehension of project status and the decision-making process.
The Emergency Field Hospital has been a success, having been used in dozens of field hospitals around the world where thousands of patients have been treated.

Operation Christmas Child: Scaling Global Gift Distribution
Operation Christmas Child is a project of Samaritan’s Purse that delivers shoebox gifts filled with toys, school supplies, and personal care items to children in need around the world. Samaritan’s Purse has delivered over 220 million shoebox gifts to children in over 170 countries and territories. We have developed an application to help with the logistics associated with this gifts distribution around the world.

Building Digital Tools for Good
Our collaboration with Samaritan’s Purse is a testament to the transformative power of digital tools in humanitarian contexts. From strengthening healthcare delivery to optimising logistics and data collection, we are committed to building technology that enables change where it’s needed most.
